My name is Freya, and I am a visually impaired musician, sound designer, and programmer who uses accessible software to record and produce audio for commissions, as well as for my projects.
I also specialise in producing audio games for blind, visually impaired, and sighted audiences alongside other musicians, voice actors and programmers, such as Immersion Sound Studio.
You can find a link to downloading the free game in the audio game section of the website.
In my commissioned work, I have produced various pieces for projects, such as Podcast jingles and RPGs, games, animation, and film scores.
I primarily compose on classical guitar and keyboard using sample instruments and manipulating found sounds to create something unique and innovative. I specialise in dreamy and atmospheric pieces, but can diversify into various genres.
I enjoy producing realistic and fantasy sound effects for such projects as well. I've collaborated with fellow sound artists to produce a sound piece for Art Catalyst and binaural audio for the sound artist Leaf Cutter John, so I'm keen on producing more abstract pieces for art installations.
I use a binaural microphone to record 3D audio soundscapes for commission and for my projects.
If you're interested in commissioning, collaborating, or just saying hello, please contact me through the email in the contact area of the website.
